This R107 comes from very early in the models production run, and predates American impact bumper standards.
This 450SL is sold with its original books and manuals, and a clean South Carolina title. Replaced the trunk gasket with Factory Mercedesitem. A hardtop is not included.
The convertible top has been replaced within the last eight months with a correct German canvas top. The top features a clear 3-piece backlight, and stows neatly under the R107s fixed tonneau cover.
The cabin is trimmed in parchment MB-Tex (Code #165), with matching light colored plastics. The original radio is still in place, it has original quality reception. The interior hardware is original factory standard, apart from a set of red-hued Cocomats.
Power comes from a 4.5L variant of Mercedes M117 V8, which was rated at 190 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque in 1973. This example benefits from several recent services, including the fitment of a factory correct newfuel pump, fuel hoses, and tank-to-pump fuel line, and new valve cover gaskets.

The original books and manuals are included with the sale. The maintenance booklet is stamped through October of 1987 with 94k miles.
