1973 Jeep CJ-5

1973 Jeep CJ-5 with an AMC 304 V8 engine and 3-speed manual transmission. The odometer shows about 5800 miles but I do not know if its rolled over (I can assume it has being over 50 years old).

New Motorcraft 2100 and upgraded to an electric choke. It fires right up and runs silky smooth at all RPM ranges with no hesitation or sputtering at all.

The transmission does need to be serviced, it shifts fine but it will pop out of first gear if you are not holding the shift lever when you let off the throttle. I haven't taken it on any serious off road adventures since I have owned it, but the 4-wheel drive works.

This is a clean vehicle but it is not a showroom rebuild, there are cosmetic dents/scratches on the body. The seats are all Rugged Ridge aftermarkets, with the rear seat being brand new along with the rear seatbelts. The driver seat is beginning to develop a small tear along the seat bucket stitching.

I bought this in April 2025 and it already had the wheels and 35 inch tires with a 1.5 inch body lift. Since I have had it I put about $10k in upgrades.
