Classic Car Overview

RARE FIND - 1973 Ford F100 , aka The Grasshopper. In 1981I bought it from a local ranchers wife in Basalt, Colorado (Basalt is located near Aspen, Colorado). She purchased it new, and sold it to me when he passed. It has only had a couple of excursions out of the Roaring Fork in the intervening years.
The Grasshopper is Tampico Yellow, repainted in the summer of 2024. It had only two factory options: AM radio and power steering. It has a 360 V-8, 4 speed (1st gear is a granny for hill climbing and working the fields). Power steering makes it easy to drive! I replaced the original AM radio with a Sony AM/FM stereo, a Christmas gift from my son!
I keep all the records on the truck. I put on approximately 2,000 miles per year, so now it has 102,000 miles, after 50 years.
I have faithfully maintained The Grasshopper, with annual oil changes, tires and tune-ups. I replaced the radiator approximately 10 years ago, and the brakes and tires about 5 years ago. I had the bedliner professionally sprayed about 10 years ago. The seat cover was also recently replaced, again a Christmas present from family.
I am selling because I hardly drive it these days. I am in my seventies and want it to go to a good home!
I am asking $20,500.
P.S. The Grasshopper Mascot stays with the truck!
