1973 Ford Bronco

We are in the process of building this 1973 Ford Bronco frame-off restoration. This will soon be a completely gone-through Classic Ford Bronco Restoration. We have already restored the original metal body and added a new windshield frame, hood and tailgate, plus new fender flares. The rest of the body was perfect and 100% rust free when we started the restoration. 

The original frame has been strengthened, sand blasted and powder coated in a Satin Black finish. The front and rear axles were completely torn down, the housings were sand blasted and re-finished in a Satin Black finish, all new internal parts were installed, including a restored Dana 44 front axle with all new internal parts, including new bearings and seals, powder coated extended radius arms, a restored Ford 9" rear axle, new 4.10 gears and Posi-Traction unit in the back, and an open diff in the front. It will be getting a set of 32x11.50x15 BFG tires with 15x10" Pro Comp aluminum wheels to give it a more classic look and feel.

This is going to be a freshly restored Rocky Roads 'Modified Class' build. This 2020 Bronco build will have a rebuilt factory 302 engine with all new high performance parts surrounding the engine, like new electronic ignition, billet distributor, high performance alternator, new Performer intake, 100% gone through electric choke carburetor, aluminum valve covers, chrome air cleaner, new shorty headers and dual Flowmaster exhaust system correctly routed out behind the rear tires. This engine and driveline will be properly tuned. We are also adding a new throttle cable, kick down cable, new gas petal, new brake petal and a new e-brake petal, a restored the factory brake petal and fuel petal assembly, new plastic Ford air boxes inside of the engine bay on both sides for clean fresh air intake.  

It will have a rebuilt factory 3-speed automatic transmission. We are also installing a rebuilt Dana 20 transfer case with a new Duff 4x4 shifter,  new front and rear Tom Woods custom length driveshafts, new 7 degree 'C' bushings, new radius arm bushings, a restored Ford 9" rear axle with Posi-Traction, plus new steel and rubber brake lines, new drum brake system, a rebuilt emergency brake system, new Tom Woods drive shafts, a new 2.5" extended radius arm suspension system with shocks, dual front shock hoops, plus a new 1" body lift kit, with all new grade 8 and stainless steel hardware throughout the build.

It will have a new Lee Power Steering system with new heavy duty heim joint steering linkages, a new power brake system with all new hydraulic brake hoses, new front disc brakes, all new drum brakes in back, new chrome head lamp rings and bezels, new FORD grill lettering, aluminum grille trim, new Halo LED lighting, new high beam switch, new tilt steering column with wooden Grant GT steering wheel, new Centek wire harness and all new connectors, fasteners, wire loom, etc.

This Bronco will have a new two-stage Balboa Blue paint job with match painted fender flares, color sanded and polished to perfection. It will have restored Almond Spice stock seating with a matching rear seat, new matching interior paneling, a new Linex interior bed liner covering perfect ribbed Bronco floor pans, a black powder coated six-point Legend roll cage with retractable front and rear seat belts and roll cage-to-windshield frame braces. Black side steps will be added to assist with entry. It will have a restored factory dash board with a restored stock speedometer, all new head light and wiper switches and bezels, rebuilt heater system, new heater control knobs and bezels, an in-dash Retro Radio with new two-way dash speaker, new chrome Bronco antenna, plus a new black Tuffy locking glove box and locking center console. It comes with clean original door window glass and new wing windows, all new rubber seals, window felts and channels, and a new Safari top.
