Classic Car Overview

1973 Chevrolet Corvette, Black with T-Tops Upgraded 350 V8 with Extensive Performance Enhancements This 1973 Chevrolet Corvette is a sharp-looking chrome-bumper C3 finished in black with removable T-tops capturing the unmistakable stance, attitude, and presence that make these early C3s so desirable. The car originally came equipped with the factory L-48 350 V8 but now features an upgraded and rebuilt 350 with a long list of performance parts designed to deliver stronger power, better reliability, and modern drivability. Please note: this Corvette has been sitting and will require some TLC and is best suited for someone looking for a light project with solid mechanical upgrades already in place. The period correct rebuilt 350 features Edelbrock aluminum 180cc E-Street heads, Edelbrock gaskets, ARP head bolts, and a Summit K1103 camshaft for improved torque and throttle response. An Edelbrock Performer EPS intake supports airflow, paired with a Holley Sniper EFI system for greatly improved starting and drivability. Ignition has also been upgraded with a Holley HyperSpark distributor and ignition box. The car received new seals throughout the engine, including a new rear main seal, front seal, and a one-piece oil pan gasket. Condition Notes: Because the car has been sitting, several areas will need attention from the next owner: Hood is not functioning properly and is very difficult to open or close. Windshield wipers are not connected. Oil is dark and should be changed. Coolant is pooled on top of the intake likely from a hose or fitting that needs tightening or replacing. No key for the driver door. Power steering fluid is low. Belt tensioner appears loose and the belt makes noise. One headlight has just been replaced. Transmission dipstick tube was reinstalled. These items do not take away from the cars potential they simply reflect that the vehicle has been sitting and needs basic sorting and upkeep before returning to regular road use. Key Features and Upgrades: 1973 Chevrolet Corvette finished in black T-tops for open-air cruising Rebuilt 350 V8 (originally an L-48) Aluminum Edelbrock 180cc E-Street heads, 64cc chambers Edelbrock head gaskets ARP head bolts Summit K1103 flat-tappet camshaft (214/224, .444/.446 lift, 112 LSA) Aluminum Edelbrock Performer EPS intake Holley Sniper EFI fuel injection system Holley HyperSpark distributor and ignition box New Edelbrock timing chain kit Fel-Pro intake and valve cover gaskets New rear main and front main seals New one-piece oil pan gasket This 1973 Corvette offers tremendous potential for someone seeking a classic C3 that already has thousands invested in performance enhancements. With attention to the items noted above, it can become an enjoyable driver with the added benefit of modernized fueling, ignition, and upgraded engine components all wrapped in the timeless look of a black-on-black, T-top Corvette.
