VW Kombi Van Seeing Resurgence in Popularity

The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.

Classic Car Overview

Available for sale: 1973 BMW 3.0CSi, Baikal blue with white interior, nut and bolt restoration. This example started in 2013 with Ron Perry where most of the motor, suspension, and wiring were completed. Paint and rust removal was completed by RJ Paint and Body. The car was completed by CSi Inc, Pomona in 2022. 5-speed conversion completed by Bullet Performance.

This example was originally a grey market import from Europe and resided in San Jose, California for several years. After being stored for some time, this car was purchased in 2009 with minimal rush. Some of the original service papers come with the car. Partial restoration records from Ron Perry (paperwork provided prior to his bankruptcy), books and keys, receipts from CSI, Inc. and Bullet Performance. 14x6 Alpina style BMW factory wheels, original headliner, Euro gauges, short shift 5 speed. The car runs amazing, starts right up, and is very fun to drive.

The BMW E9 is an excellent driving car, continues to gain value as an asset, and as a well running CSi, this is the model to get next to the CSL.
