In addition, all trim and brightwork components were either replaced, or removed and refinished. The original steel wheels were powder coated silver, clear coated, and fitted with replated chrome rings and centers. The body was completely stripped and any rust was removed. New metal was added around the wheel wells, below the windshield, and in rear window areas.
The interior features new seat skins, carpet, original pattern headliner, and more. New wiring was run throughout the car, and all switches, lights, and electrical components are said to be in working order. The original radio and blower motor were removed and rebuilt.
The twin cam 2.0L engine is said to be original, and received a full rebuild to stock specifications with factory rods, pistons, sleeves, crank, cams, valves, new main bearings, rod bearings, water pump, valve springs, timing chain, and motor mounts. The head was milled and ported, and the original SPICA Injection system was serviced and tuned. An electronic ignition and new fuel pump were also added.
The original radiator was sent out and triple cored, and the original fuel tank was boiled out and re-lined. The underbody was restored and a GTA-style stainless muffler was installed. The suspension was rebuilt using all new bushings and mounts.
