Classic Car Overview

1972 Karmann Ghia owned, and garage kept for the last 38 years and is in clean condition. The Karmann Ghia was kept maintaining the original feel and appearance with some slight upgrades (Wooden walnut steering wheel and shifter, inside door handles, and MPEI muffler) and the Karmann Ghia was well maintained. Major maintenance items include floorboards were replaced, new carpet (custom embroidered car mats), tires, rims, and hubcaps and the engine was upgraded from the 1600cc to 1912cc by Painter Grinding in Denver. The Ghia also comes with the original steering wheel, shifter, ashtray, lighter and oil heater. There is wear on the driver side cover, some minor paint chips, a hole on the driver side seat and some stitching has come undone on the seat as reflected in the pictures. This unique car is also equipped with a rare OEM BN2 gas heater. The Ghia has Italian styling and German engineering. The Karmann Ghia, mechanically, is similar to the Volkswagen Beetle of the same era, sharing many of its core components. Key mechanical parts which are readily available include an air-cooled, four-cylinder engine, a manual transmission, and a suspension system. Brakes, steering, and electrical systems are also essential mechanical components. This is a fun car to drive and gets lots of looks, complements, and thumbs up.
