Classic Car Overview

Outsold The Model T- Sales of the Volkswagen Beetle topped 15MM in 1972, surpassing the Ford Model T to earn the title of worlds most popular car. Fun Bug- This 1972 Volkswagen Beetle is a unique example of one of these classics. The partially restored Beetle is in overall good condition. The solid, straight exterior received a 2-tone re-spray that accents the lines of the Bug and chrome/stainless components present well. Functional Interior- The interior is in overall good condition. Door cards, headliner and carpeting are nice, but the vinyl upholstery could use some attention. The sound system has been upgraded with an Alpine AM/FM stereo and there is a lot of luggage space behind the folding rear seat. Flat Four German Power- The 72 Bug was powered by a 1600cc flat-four that output 60hp-85lb/ft. The engine compartment of this Beetle is very clean, and the rebuilt motor (2019) has been fitted with an EMPI 2-barrel progressive-linkage carb conversion kit. It is backed by a synchronized 4-speed manual gearbox, and both the engine and transmission pans are dry with no apparent seal leaks. The underside of the unibody shows some age surface rust and the running boards appear to be very solid. Stopping power is furnished by 4-wheel drum brakes and Minilite-style alloy wheels mount 205/65Rx15 Douglas radial tires. This is a fun Beetle that will provide a lot of enjoyment and smiles to its new owner. ALL VEHICLES SOLD AS IS . TRUE MILEAGE UNKNOWN UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED.
