If you're a fan of vintage Japanese cars, be sure to check out Nissan's online heritage site. There are tons of vintage Nissan pics and specs going all the way back to the 1920s. Each featured car or truck has relevant specs and a little "detail" tab that gives some background on that specific car.
The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.

Classic Car Overview
1972 Porsche 911 Coupe $49,995
I have owned this 1972 911 for over 20 years. It has always been garaged kept and pampered. My goal when I purchased it years ago was to build it into an RS.
Body: I had a custom restoration shop do all the body work. They made sure the body was straight and true. They installed the new front bumper with oil cooler box, fender flares, duck tail, took care of all rust areas and primed it. I have tried to show these areas and the fit and finish in the pictures.
Engine: The engine was 2.4 liter. I purchased new jugs and pistons to make it a 2.8 liter. The case and heads were shipped to California for machining. The case (which is magnesium) was pinned along the crank shaft so it would not “walk” at high RPM. The heads were ported, polished and twin plugged. The engine was assembled by a Porsche mechanic. I have tried to show the engine in the pictures provided.
Transmission: I purchased a 5-speed transmission and had it rebuilt by the same Porsche mechanic that assembled the engine. It is ready to be installed.
Other parts: I have the parts to the car, window glass (front, rear, doors), wiring, oil tank, door skins, carpet, etc. except the front seats and the gas tank. My plan was to install Recaro front seats (I have the back seats) and a fuel cell. Using the old 1972 gas tank seemed like a bad idea with a new engine.
What does the engine need: I’m sure there are several small items it needs but the two large items are carburetors and a 12-plug distributor if you want to take advantage of the twin plugged heads. The original 6-plug distributor is on the engine now.
Body: Once you have the car just right, you will need to paint it.
Please message me any questions you have or requests for additional pictures. I’m learning to use this website, but it seems I can add additional details and pictures as needed.
