Classic Car Overview
Description:
Classic 1972 Ford F-250 Highboy equipped with the desirable 360 FE V8 and NP435 4-speed manual transmission. This Highboy features the correct heavy-duty drivetrain with a Dana 44HD front axle, Dana 60 rear axle, and 4.10 gears a proven, durable setup.
The 360 FE engine was fully disassembled to a short block, with all components cleaned, painted, and reassembled using all new gaskets and torqued to factory specifications. Headers and a dual exhaust system exiting at the rear with twin chrome tips give the truck a great sound. The 4x4 system and transmission function properly.
Inside, this Highboy retains factory bucket seats with new upholstery, factory woodgrain deluxe door panels, and dash accents. A new carpet kit is included but not yet installed.
The truck wears all original body panels and original paint with a nice patina. Updates include new grille inserts, while retaining original badges, original FoMoCo script West Coast junior mirrors (no cracks or scratches), and what appear to be original side-mounted toolboxes. A front aluminum toolbox was added later.
The body has a few small rust areas that will need patch panels, but these are described as minor and straightforward repairs.
A very honest, well-preserved Highboy classic Bumpsides are getting extremely hard to find in this condition.
