If you're a fan of vintage Japanese cars, be sure to check out Nissan's online heritage site. There are tons of vintage Nissan pics and specs going all the way back to the 1920s. Each featured car or truck has relevant specs and a little "detail" tab that gives some background on that specific car.
The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.
Classic Car Overview
Thanks for your interest in my 1972 (production date 11/71) 240Z. I have owned this vehicle since the autumn of 1976, buying it from an OC Sheriff. The Z has spent its entire life in SoCal, mostly in Anaheim or Fallbrook. It has 225,000 miles on it. It has been painted twice (original color) and has aftermarket re- upholstery of original seats and door panels, as well as aftermarket "Mullholland" springs (car lowered 1 – 1.5 inches) and "Interpart" exhaust. Original dealer installed A/C sourced in the 1970’s from another Z. This would be a good driver for someone, but it has spent most days sitting, as I have several other cars and I am getting to an age where climbing down into it is a little challenging for someone of my size (6’-4”, 250lbs).
Now let's talk about the bad stuff: Mark at the Z shop says I am due for a new clutch. Roof is a little wavy because there was a 20lb cat that used to jump down from the garage rafters and land on the Z roof. Way back in 1977 it was hit in the passenger front and was repaired by the dealership. It has a shakiness at about 60 mph but goes away with speed. Needs new tires because the ones on it are 20 years old. There, now you know all the pock marks!
Several people have asked about rust. If you are familiar with these cars, they have areas that traditionally develop rust just by looking at them. While I’m sure an acid dip or a thorough inspection would find some rust somewhere, this is a car that presents as comparatively clear.
I am looking for the best offer and would like it to go to someone who will drive and appreciate it rather than just try to flip it. Email me at email@example.com if seriously interested.
