Chevrolet introduced the Chevelle in 1963 as a 1964 model. Though quite large by today's standards, it was classified as a midsize car. What wasn't midsize was the level of passion garnered from the very beginning, a passion that has continued for decades.

2010 Cobra Jet

Following in the tradition of previous Ford factory built Mustang race cars like the 1968 Cobra Jet, the Boss 429 and the FR500S Mustang Challenge car, Ford Racing and AAI started work on a production run of 50 Cobra Jet Mustangs in January 2010. Ford Racing built 50 Cobra Jet Mustangs at Ford vendor facilities.

Classic Car Overview

1972 Chevelle, I have owned the vehicle since Oct 1978. Replace factory 350cid in 1980 with GM crate engine. 4-bolt mains/compression ratio 8 1/2 to 1. Engine was dyno horsepower 260. Carburetor Holly 600 vacuum advance. Turbo 400 Transmission. 12 bolt pos/traction 308 gears. In 2004 I, with 6000 miles since the rebuild. After the rebuild it was put on a Dyno and made 375 horsepower. The reason to get more power output. Replace the heater core. I replaced the cylinder heads with vortex heads 1.94. Double tooth timing chain. High volume oil pump. Bringing the compression ratio up 9 1/4 to one. Replace the carburetor with a Holly 600 Double Pumper. In 2018 front suspension was completely replaced. New rotors and calipers. Mallory Unilite Distributor. 2019
Rear Suspension was replaced. Goodrich T/A radials less than 5000 miles on them 15 inch wheel. Radiator replaced in 2021.
I have complete documentation, including the dyno paperwork and receipts for the rebuilt engine.
