1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu

This is a really special 1972 Chevy Chevelle Malibu in Orange Flame Metallic paint. 1972 was the last year for this highly desired body style. It is a beautifully clean car, but it is also 50 years old, so it is not absolutely perfect. But make no mistake, this beautiful beast can be driven to any cruise or car show, and it will stand proud!

Here is a further description and list of all of its restoration upgrades.

Engine Size: 350- bored to 388
The car comes with a build sheet and the original owners manual
All Lights and gauges work. The windshield wipers, horn, blowers, and radio all work.
New hi-performance driveline and mechanicals, suspension, and brakes. The car runs, drives, steers, and stops very well!
The PPG Code 65 "Orange Flame Metallic" paint has been cut and buffed to a glass-like finish. A couple of small paint imperfections are only noticeable up close, and very small touched-up chips from being driven to outdoor car shows/cruises. There is no rust or paint bubbles.
The interior is black and as beautiful as the pictures show. The dash, carpet, seats, headliner custom gauges, new old school Sun tach, and a very nice chrome wheel.
Super straight body with excellent fit & finish of all body panels.
Very straight factory-style SS cowl hood with powder-coated hinges and springs. The black Brightwork bumpers and trim show very well.
Very clean & rust free undercarriage
Excellent Frame & Floors
Pro Built Balanced and Blue main and 2-piece rear main. 11-1 forged pistons, Scat crank, and Rod assembly with ARP cap screw rod ends, engine balancer, and flywheel base circle cam necessary.
Machine work and assembly were completed by Sperry Engines in Iowa.
Promaxx 200CC Aluminum heads 64cc Champ Fel Pro #1206 intake gasket and set up for hydraulic roller cam with the good Com 7/16" rocker studs and Comp double roller timing set. Jegs crank scraper with a 1pc oil pan gasket that doesn't leak a drop. ARP fasteners were used on the entire engine.
Brand new crate TCI TH-350 Streetfighter Trans with 1O" 3000 stall converter and SFI flexplate.
New custom G-Force heavy-duty transmission rebuilt 12-bolt 3.73 Posi rear end with Hi-Perf heavy-duty axles and wheel studs, girdle support rear end cover, and all-new brake lines. Aluminum driveshaft with heavy-duty U joints and yokes.
Suspension is all redone with new coil springs, shocks, bushings, and sway bars arms on the rear axle.
New 2" drop spindles on the front end with new bearings, seals, and vented cross-drilled rotors, new backing plates, calipers.
Completely new backing plates, brake shoes and hardware, wheel cylinders, brand new lightweight aluminum rear drums, a new chrome master cylinder, and power brake booster with braided brake lines to the proportioning valve.
New Summit racing electric vact braking at all times.
New large core polished all aluminum radiator, shroud, and new aluminum fan.
Custom built for this specific engine, an SMI (Sean Murphy Induction- that used to be with "The carb on top.
Custom-built "Performance Distributors" Dui/Hei with top-of-the-line Moroso Black plug wires firing E3 spark plugs.
New heat shield at gas tank.
All billet aluminum bracketry on the engine, chrome alternator, power steering pump, and billet aluminum pulleys.
Exhaust is sporting Hooker Super Comp Coated headers exiting to a Pypes X-pipe 3" full exhaust system with flowmaster mufflers and 3"
The A/C system has been redone, including a new Sanden AC compressor.
