The glass surrounding the cabin, as well as the rubber seals in place to keep the elements from intruding, are both in very good shape. Open one of the doors, and youll see an interior that looks appealingly fresh, with a nicely padded, very comfortable bench seat and door panels to each side whose newer condition would indicate they were recent additions. Just beyond the steering wheel, the dash area retains its original configuration down to its chrome accented instrument panel and original gauges, which team up with a trio of aftermarket counterparts, as well as a nicely sized tachometer, to keep an accurate read on vital engine functions. At the center, an AM/FM/CD stereo with iPod connectivity joins the mix so you wont run out of audio options any time soon. Just below, the unmistakable sight of the Hurst shifter adds another custom touch to the interior. The bed area is protected by a liner whose complementary blue color is a nice alternative to the more commonly encountered black, and its in blemish free condition, indicating that no shifting cargo has been allowed to extract its toll. Just as that air cleaner elevating above the hood would signify, theres plenty of power on hand here in the form of a 454 cubic inch V8. While its displacement alone makes it a very capable performer to begin with, it also sports an aftermarket cam, as well as a pair of 4-barrel carbs sitting on top of an Edelbrock Hi Rise tunnel intake manifold to take things to an even higher level. The engine has just the robust, throaty rumble youd want in a setup like this as it exhales into its pair of long tube headers and teams with a 3-speed automatic transmission thats shifting smoothly and securely.
