1972 Chevrolet Blazer Vintage Pre-Runner / Desert Build 383 Stroker
This is one of those trucks that gets better the more you learn about it.
Offered here is a 1972 Chevrolet Blazer that has been purpose-built with an old-school pre-runner/desert mentality while retaining the original solid axle front and rear. More importantly, it was built and owned by people who actually know what theyre doing. This Blazer was previously owned by one of the guys at Blitzkrieg Off Road, and it has been properly maintained throughout its life. The quality of the build, components, and overall condition show the moment you see it and especially when you drive it.
Under the hood is a 383 stroker, giving this vintage Blazer plenty of power to match the suspension underneath it.
The front suspension features King coilovers and 18-inch King bypass shocks, with approximately 14 inches of usable travel. Out back, it runs Deaver spring-under leaf springs paired with 18-inch King bypass shocks, with approximately 18 inches of rear travel. The suspension is strapped appropriately and built to work in the dirt rather than simply look the part.
The rear is where this truck gets particularly serious. It features a Blitzkrieg rear housing with a brand-new third member, Detroit-style locker, 2.5-inch full-float hubs, Wilwood wheel-width brakes, and 300M axle shafts with a 35-spline inner / 40-spline outer configuration. This is not a stock rear end hiding underneath an old Blazer its a properly built piece designed to handle the abuse that comes with a truck like this.
The truck also has a really cool history. The front portion of the cab cage was actually the first cab cage built by one of the people involved with the truck, originally fabricated in his dads driveway in Bellflower. The Blazer eventually changed hands and was turned into more of a rock crawler before being bought back and transformed into the desert-oriented truck it is today.
