Classic Car Overview

1971 Oldsmobile 442 W30

We have a real deal with factory documentation, 1971 Oldsmobile 442 W30 here at Skyway Classics that looks great with its correct #13 Sterling Silver paint, correct #930 black twin bucket seat interior, correct #396021 455 cubic inch engine which we believe is numbers matching, automatic transmission, red front engine compartment inner fender wells, aluminum 12-bolt rear end cover, with factory Super Stock wheels and performance tires.

The 1971 Oldsmobile 442 W30s had a production run of around 110 units. The 1971 442 was the last Oldsmobile muscle car due to strict emissions regulations.

The W30 package included a fiberglass hood, air cleaner, air ducts, intake manifold, heads, cam, distributor, and carburetor, and the W30s 455 engine produced 350 horsepower.

GM killed off all the big-block cars and the 1971 442 was the last Oldsmobile muscle car.

Mechanical Specs

Our 1971 has an Oldsmobile 442 W30 was a very potent 455 cubic inch engine with a single 4-barrel carburetor. It was a high-performance muscle car with a cast iron block, pushrod OHV valvetrain, and an aluminum intake that made 300 gross horsepower with its low restriction dual exhaust system, outside-air induction system, hotter cam, Battery relocated to the trunk, Rotators on intake and exhaust valves, Alloy exhaust valve seats, and Hardened valve tips.
Ours looks untouched with all those factory parts sitting between the rare red inner fenderwells and has Posi Rear Axle, Power Steering and Brakes, and an Air Conditioner Four Season.

It sits in a factory stock looking engine compartment and has a great startup sound to it with its dual exhaust system. A three-speed Turbo automatic transmission sits behind it and powers the rear end while rolling on factory Super Stock wheels and raised white letter Cooper Cobra tires.

Interior

It has a black twin bucket seat interior with headrests and center armrest, matching rear seat and door panels, black sport steering wheel, wood-like trim, air conditioning, pushbutton radio, power steering and power brakes, black carpeting and floor mats, seatbelts, and a three-speed Turbo transmission with the Hurst Dual Gate shifter in the console.

Exterior

Our 442 W30 looks sharp in the great shade of correct #13 Sterling Silver paint, with a black vinyl top and you have an Oldsmobile muscle car that has some of the best design lines of the day with good panels, form-fitting chrome bumpers, and full-length black stripe down the side to showcase this refined style.

The large dual exhaust tips, ram air hood, hood pins, Rear Spoiler, and the rare Rear Axle Housing Cover in aluminum are all part of the proper muscle car style, and it sounds as good as it looks.

Conclusion

This mostly original 1971 Oldsmobile 442 W30 we have here at Skyway Classics is a very nice collector car to cruise in and enjoy in our sunny state of Florida, or any state for that matter.

It is soooo rare with only 110 made, the correct 455 engine, the correct paint and interior, plus a ton of factory paperwork, so dont pass up this W30 and add it to your collection.

Come drive it today.
