VW Kombi Van Seeing Resurgence in Popularity

The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.

Classic Car Overview

ATTENTION BLUE CHIP COLLECTORS! THIS IS 1 OF ONLY 2,190 OF THE RARE AND LIMITED PRODUCTION MERCEDES-BENZ GRAND 600 SERIES THAT WERE EVER PRODUCED FROM 1963 TO 1981! THEY WERE PURCHASED NEW BY FOREIGN LEADERS, CELEBRITIES, AND ROYALTY! EXTREMELY WELL KEPT AND THE CONDITION IS IMPECCABLE! Black exterior with black leather interior. M100 6.3L SOHC V8 engine, 4-speed automatic transmission. Sold new in New York and immediately shipped to Los Angeles by the original owner, who was believed to be a high profile attorney. Long term ownership in California. The amount of history we were able to obtain on this 600 Short Wheel Base is limited. We know this 600 was registered in the M-100 Registry by who is believed to be the original owner, and that it resided in California until about 78,000 miles. The 92,525 miles that are shown on the odometer are believed to be actual. The car was brought to Washington State in 2005 and has resided here for the last 20 years in a very private, and extremely impressive collection. (The main reason this Grand 600 was purchased, was that Jay Leno has one in his collection) The restoration appears to be done in the late 1990s or early 2000s, but to a level of quality that would make you think it was restored last year with no expense spared. If you have dreamed of someday owning a Mercedes-Benz 600, we suggest that you research the differences in these models compared to a standard S-Class. Almost every major component is Hydraulically powered including systems from the suspension to the power windows and door locks. Other features include; air conditioning, climate control, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual manually-adjustable front bucket seats with lumbar, locking glovebox, full instrument cluster including tachometer, oil pressure, and temperature gauges, rear defroster, power retractable antenna, four wheel disc brakes, exterior temperature gauge, intermittent windshield wipers. Our 45 year technician who specializes in Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, performed a buyers inspection and found this 600 to be in very nice, to excellent condition. IF YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A LOW MILEAGE, HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE, MERCEDES 600 SWB, YOU HAVE JUST FOUND IT. THIS IS A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN AN OWNERSHIP CLUB THAT VERY FEW CAN EVER EXPERIENCE. Famous celebrities include... Jack Nicholson, Barry Gordy, Ringo Starr. Dearly departed include...Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, John Lennon, George Harrison, David Bowie, Elizabeth Taylor, Coco Chanel, Hugh Hefner, Aristotle Onassis. European politicians, middle eastern kings and princes, and dictators. Current Hagerty valuations...#1 Concours $265,000, #2 Excellent $200,000. #2.5 Excellent/Good $145,350. #3 Good $90,700. This beautiful classic will easily pass a #3 valuation, and very likely pass a #2.5 valuation. Serious inquirys only please... Why pay retail? Save thousands and buy quality and value!
