Classic Car Overview
1971 Jeep CJ-5 for sale
My wife and I bought this Jeep new and the original color was Island Blue, and in the late 70s we had it painted Bronco orange. My wife, mother and sons helped apply the pin striping. We did initially install locking hubs, the rear spare tire assembly and roll bar. We sold the Jeep to my father and he eventually sold it to a couple brothers from the area. The Jeep has lived its entire life in the North Fork Valley of the Gunnison River and in the mountains of Colorado. We reacquired the Jeep in the fall of 2021.
The engine is a stock Dauntless V6-225, odd fire, which was overhauled by the last owners and the clutch was replaced at that time. It does have the original manual wiper fluid pump and it works. It does have the original steering wheel and windshield mounted rear view mirror. There is slight rust on both sides underneath the doors, although the floorboard front and rear is very solid. Check the photos. The service manual for the Jeep Universal Series is included. Also, there is a new bikini top that has not been installed and other miscellaneous parts. Check the photos.
If you will are wondering about the clutch pedal or have any other questions please give me a call or email.
