Classic Car Overview

Please visit www.Survivor-Cars.com for additional photos, information, and a video. This vehicle is available for viewing by appointment only. Please call us to schedule an appointment. The International Harvester (IH) Scout and Scout 2 (Scout II) have become very desirable in recent years, and this one gives us a great example of just why that is. A smaller, capable SUV, built to compete with Jeeps and Broncos, The IH has diehard followers and a growing fan base due to their reliability, great looks, and uniqueness! This 1971 IH Scout II has a new International 392 CID V8 engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission, making it easy for anyone to drive and enjoy. Power steering and power brakes add to that drivability, and 4-wheel drive make it ready to tackle any terrain. The exterior is painted a bright Red which is broken up with black trim, black wheels, and a black SoftTopper top. The 1971 year was truncated due to a surplus of prior year 800s to sell and Scout II production bugs to work out. International Harvester marketed this as the WOW Wagon with a much improved interior, more engine options including a 345 CID V8, and 4x4 option. The big 392 in this particular one has an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and a great V8 rumble through the exhaust. The very clean interior consists is stock and consists of black bucket seats up front with a black bench in the rear, a stock dash and door panels. The automatic transmission is shifted on the floor with a reverse lock-out handle. This IH runs and drives fantastic and has a long list of recent work including the paint, Black Rock wheels with all-terrain tires, the new engine, and much more! It is ready to drive and show! Hit the beach or a gathering of International Harvester collectors to show off your new Scout II, with pride! This vehicle is available to view by appointment only. Please call the office to make an appointment. For additional information on this and our other classic and collectible cars for sale, please visit www.Survivor-Cars.com.
