1971 Ford Mustang Convertible
Convertible Car for sale in SALEM, Oregon 97302
The Shelby GT350 wasn't the only high-performance Mustang available if you wanted a fast pony.
Given that the 21st century has seen a sort of return to the roots aspect for the Mustang, it was probably only a matter of time before the Boss 302 made a return. Over the last few years there's been steady and growing interest in the concept of a new-age Trans Am Special.
Classic Car Overview
PRICE REDUCED!!! $28,500 obo 1971 Mustang Convertible. Only 6121 Mustang Convertibles were produced in 1971 out of nearly 150,000 Mustangs sold that year making up about 4% of production. Along with the options this comes as a fairly rare car. It is equipped with the Cleveland 351C 2v “H” engine, optional FMX select-o-shift transmission, Power Steering, Power Top, Power Brakes, Deluxe interior, AM/FM Cassette and Center Console. The black exterior with the white top really makes for a striking car. This car has led a pampered life, being always garaged and well maintained. It has a very nice paint job that has been ceramic coated and the top is in excellent condition. The car runs and drives very nice, very reliable and ready to hit the road. The car is nicely detailed to show off to friends or attend a local car show. Should easily win in its class at a mustang show. With only 6121 convertibles made and mated to a very desirable 351 Cleveland you will turn heads wherever you go and when combined with the rest of the options, only a handful of this option groups were made. This makes for a unique and rare example. This is a 351C 2V H code with the FMX automatic, power steering, power top and power brakes. Car was recently upgraded to Pertronix ignition for increased reliability. This is a low mileage car with a little over 87000 original miles. All body panels and gap fitment are very good. Previous owner had the car over 13 years and is in very nice condition. This is a rust free car, appears to have all original sheet metal and was very well cared for. The car is very original and in great condition, with most all its original chalk marks still visible. All the bright work is in very good condition. Car runs and drives very nice and should give years of pleasure. Finding an original quality rust free car of this era is extremely hard to find, especially in a convertible. If you are looking for this era mustang convertible you will not find many as nice as this one or as original. This car will not last long, so don’t wait on this rare opportunity to get a very nice rust free convertible.
