Classic Car Overview

1971 SS454, True SS car with 2 build sheets, protecto plate, etc.
This is an original bench-seat car with column shift and idiot-light dash, not gauges. Manual windows, factory AC. It was ordered without a vinyl top. 3.33 rear end posi, fully rebuilt. The original air ride system is intact, except standard shocks were added.
This is a California car, first sold in Sacramento, and has been here ever since. I am the 2nd owner, had it since 1982.
The car has the original drivetrain (all rebuilt). Currently has a new 468 roller cam motor built by Mark Jones of "Vortec Pro" in 2012, might have 10k miles on it. Dyno sheet shows 560hp, 590 tq. Hydroboost brake booster installed same date.
Car was striped and repainted the original Mulsane Blue in 2003, and all suspension bushings, springs, shocks, body mounts, weatherstrip, door hinges, etc were replaced. New carpets and door panels. It has been garaged and seldom used except car shows since then.
The original engine was rebuilt, but suddenly began to blow smoke so I retired it in favor of the roller motor in the car now. The original engine is on an engine stand and comes with the car. I have stacks of receipts dating back to 1982 and beyond.
Many extra parts included: original and aftermarket cylinder heads, carburetors, intakes, etc. I saved all the original parts I replaced.
Some minor dents are in the rear fenders, but too small to be seen in photos, and a scratch in the LF fender. The original front seat vinyl is giving way at the seams and tearing open.
The car isn't perfect, but is very good. It is a solid reliable car.
