VIN 136371L117332 identifies this car as a V8-equipped Malibu Sport Coupe assembled at Chevrolets Van Nuys, California plant. Its Fisher Body tag further reveals that it was originally finished in Code 75 Cranberry Red with Code 705 black bench-seat interior trim, making the current red-over-black presentation consistent with its original color combination. Today, SS-inspired exterior appointments, staggered Weld Racing wheels, digital instrumentation, and big-block power give this Malibu the look and attitude of Chevrolets legendary muscle cars.

Exterior:

The Chevelle is finished in Cranberry Red, accented by bold black striping across the hood and decklid. Drivetrain:

Backing the 454 is a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The transmission provides the benefits of a lower first gear for acceleration along with an overdrive fourth gear for more relaxed highway cruising than a traditional three-speed automatic. A dual exhaust system carries the big-block soundtrack out back.

Chassis:

This 1971 Chevelle utilizes Chevrolets proven rear-wheel-drive A-body platform with independent front suspension and a coil-sprung rear suspension. Power steering makes the big-block coupe easier to maneuver at lower speeds, while power-assisted brakes provide added stopping confidence.

Up front, the braking system has been upgraded with disc brakes featuring drilled and slotted rotors, visible behind the Weld Racing wheels. A vacuum brake booster and dual-reservoir master cylinder are fitted under the hood.
