1971 Chevrolet Camaro RS Coupe

This is a 1971 Camaro Rally Sport survivor car. I bought about a year ago from the original owners that live nearby and kept it garaged over the years. It's a great story - they wanted a cool car back in 71 but didn't drive it much and couldn't bring themselves to sell until recently. It did not come with AC or spoilers that are typical of these cars. It is original except for the wheels and it has the 350 engine with 2bbl carb, and auto tranny. Though they told me that the engine has never been replaced, I confirmed by cross-referencing the numbers on the engine block to the VIN - it certainly appears to be a numbers matching car. It does not appear to have any rust and really looks sharp.

I have replaced the brakes including the booster and it runs well. It will need new exhaust before long. I bought it so my 16 year old son and I could tinker around on it but I think we going to get a shoebox Ford truck instead as we are more truck folks. I have purchased the front spoiler and rear (short) spoiler but didn't have the heart to cut into it. You can have these two spoiler with the car in case you'd like to use them. I call this car a "survivor" because it hasn't been messed with, cut up, modified, etc.

The right buyer can restore to new condition, create a restomod, or leave it as is. I do take the Camaro back and forth on the 580 freeway to our storage and it runs great at speed.
