From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.
The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.

Classic Car Overview
1971 Chevrolet C/K Truck Cheyenne $18,900
I purchased it in November, 2017 from it’s second owner who lived in Ohio. The truck has spent its entire life within 30 miles of the dealer from where it was purchased and was garage kept its entire life.
The Reason for Sale:
I am only selling it for 2 reasons. First, while my 11 year-old son and I love driving it around town and are blown away from the number of people who approach us about it, we are completing another truck restoration project and will no longer have garage space for it. Second, the truck does not belong in the South Florida elements and as such it really needs to go to home where the conditions are less taxing.
The all original condition of it is absolutely remarkable. While it’s original condition is rare what is even more rare is all of the supporting documentation since the day it was purchased. Everything from the original invoice, owners name embossed plate card, original key punch plugs from the factory to a picture of the first owner handing over the title to the second owner. Every document, every receipt is cataloged in a binder further demonstrating the love the 2 owners of this truck had for it.
The exterior of the truck appears to have been resprayed years ago but as you can see the paint is in very, very good condition. It is not without a few chips, etc., here and there and but certainly not anything that detracts but rather adds to the original nature of it.
The 350 V8 runs as smoothly as it probably did when it was purchased and the transmission shift is flawless. The second owner had custom dual exhaust installed and the sound produced is classic Chevy V8.
He also added the newer series Chevy rims however I do have the original steel rims with hub caps.
The interior is unreal. Out of a time capsule. The black and white herringbone cloth interior looks almost new and even the smell of it reminds me of my younger years. The first owner had a Realistic FM tuner installed in the glove box which is shown in the photos. There is even a 1972 local Ohio auto parts calendar with fuel consumption calculator attached on the driver side sun visor.
I can’t say enough about this vehicle…..I’ve owned over 20 classic cars in my life…but never anything like this.
Feel free to call me with questions as I am very particular about the next home this truck goes to.
