Classic Car Overview

Sunnyside Chevrolet of Elyria, Ohio in conjunction with Gregs Sports, Classic, & Muscle is proud to offer for sale this beautiful 1971 Buick GS Convertible!!! 15,905 ORIGINAL MILES. That s correct- not a misprint. Delivered new on April 26, 1971 from Qua Buick to a gentleman from Shaker Heights Ohio. He keeps all the paperwork from his prized purchase- original purchase agreement, warranty work invoices, thank you letter from the dealer, protect-o-plate, color chart, warranty brochure, accessory brochure, owner s manual, registrations- all of it. He owns the car until 2011 from new when he sells it at the prime age of 93 years old. What a sheltered life this GS has led. Bought new for a stately sum of $3715 and equipped with turbo hydramatic, power steering and brakes, white walls, dual sport mirrors, front mats, clock, side moldings, super sport wheels this was quite a car in its day and quite a car today. Still sporting all its original metal, a lot of its original paint, its original interior, engine, trans, chrome and on and on. Concessions to original are a bigger breathing exhaust system, a replaced convertible top and wheels and tires- that s it. You should see the underside of this car it speaks volumes to its care. Looking for a cheap GS with clapped out patched fenders and floors- keep looking this is a car for a discriminating owner/collector. In a world of over restored cars this car is a shining light time capsule. Can t live with the occasional bump, bruise or scrape in the paint- now called patina , then you will have to move on. We will not touch it with paint and suggest to anyone interested it should never be taken away from its originality. One of just 599 GS convertibles with automatic produced in 1971 how many can be left? Then throw in a great color, red, one owner history for years survivor status and where are you ever going to come up with another one? Drive it, show it, keep it in a bubble and polish it as a prized poss
