1971 Buick Gran Sport

Here we have a 1971 Buick Gran Sport Convertible for sale. There were only 902 Gran Sport Convertible built in 1971. Of those 902, only 165 featured the 455 engine, and only 81 were factory ordered Stage 1 cars. This car has undergone a comprehensive nut and bolt frame-off restoration that resulted in one of the finest muscle cars in the country. We will start with the exterior of this Gran Sport. The body on it is rock solid and was meticulously fitted and aligned. We can see the panels flow seamlessly from front to back and that all the gaps are even and symmetrical. This 71 is covered in the Lime Mist Green paint that was done in the Base Coat Clear Coat option. It has been polished out to a stunning finish thats as slick as a ribbon. Its got the factory GS metal hood with vents that are functional through the factory air cleaner. A new white top accents the Lime Mist green. You can see the top frame was redone at the restoration, which is a power option that works as it should. We can see that the grill, headlight bezels, bumper, and emblems were replaced at the time of restoration. The rear bumper is equally impressive along with the tail lights and has the correct exhaust tips through the bumper. New wheel well opening molding has been installed along with new rocker molding. All new weather stripping and seals were also installed at the time of the resto. The glass is phenomenal in the Buick and all the side glass goes up and down with a great fit. To finish off the stance its sitting on the 15 Wheels with the correct centers and a set of BF Goodrich Radial White Letter Tires. Next, we will look at the interior of this Convertible. On the inside, its done in a white color scheme that flows perfectly with the exterior color scheme. Everything was redone at the time of the restoration. It features Power Windows that all work excellently. The door panels and all the hardware and trim are gorgeous. The seat were redone along with all of the padding and springs. It features the bucket seats option up front that features the center console that houses the automatic shifter. Looking at the dash we can see its phenomenal as well and that all the gauges are working as they should and are like new along with the hood tach! The Power top option works as it should and it also comes with tilt wheel. We can see this car is set up with the factory AC option thats also working as it should along with having the upgraded digital knobbed radio that runs through the new sound system with Kenwood speakers in the kick panels. New carpet was installed along with sill plates. Inside the trunk is detailed out with the spatter paint and has the trunk mat along with jack and spare. Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Buick. Under the hood, everything is equally impressive with a meticulous eye to detail. The power comes from a professionally rebuilt 455 Big Block V8 engine thats set up with the Quadrajet Carburetor. Its dressed in factory-style valve covers along with having the factory-style air cleaner with the 455 Stage 1 call out. Under the hood is clean as a pin and the inner fenders and firewall are rock solid as well. This Gran Sport comes equipped with Power Steering and Power Brakes with disc on the front. It also comes with the Factory Air Conditioning option that works as well. For exhaust, it has manifolds with new dual pipes and turbo mufflers that flow through the tips in the rear bumper. Under the front, all the bushings and ball joints were replaced at the time of the restoration. The 455 V8 runs through the Turbo 400 Trans and the 8.5 10 Bolt Rear with the LA B suffix 3.08 Gears. When we look under it we can see that the floor pans all look amazing along with the frame and that they installed new body bushings at the time of the frame off restoration.
