This 1970 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia coupe was refurbished and modified during an 11-month period in 1987, and it was featured on the cover of the March 1988 issue of Dune Buggies and Hot VWs. A Porsche-sourced five-speed manual transaxle is mated to its 2,110cc air-cooled flat-four, which has CB Performance Steet Eliminator cylinder heads, dual DellOrto DRLA 45 carburetors, and a Vintage Speed Sports exhaust. The body is finished in Porsche Irish Green with body-color fiberglass bumpers and baby turbo mirrors, while the interior, which is trimmed in Saddle leather upholstery, has a Porsche-sourced shifter, seats, and instruments. Fuchs 14 wheels, front disc brakes, and dropped spindles are additional details. The vehicle was purchased on BaT in February 2022 by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, who sold it to its current owner on BaT in November 2024. This modified Karmann Ghia is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment with a clean Oregon title.
