VW Kombi Van Seeing Resurgence in Popularity

The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. Classic Car Overview

Incredibly clean and very rare 1970 911S in Tangerine over Black Leatherette interior. This 911S was sold new on June 6, 1971 at Jim Kelley Porsche in Buffalo, New York to a collector that preserved the car for roughly 4 years before selling it to the second owner that kept the car for the next 43 years. The car shows less than 40,000 original miles on the odometer and carries its original numbers matching engine. Original options from the factory included US Equipment, Antenna, Loud Speakers and Noise Suppression, Comfort Equipment, and Pirelli Tires. Paint meter readings indicate the 911 was repainted at one time in the original Tangerine factory color.

Our Factory Trained Porsche Classic Technicians just completed our very comprehensive inspection process to ensure the next owner is able to enjoy and appreciate the 911S with confidence. During the inspection we decided to rebuild the fuel injection pump, repair minnow oil seeps, replace synchronizers in the transmission, install new sway bar bushings, and replace necessary bulbs. A cylinder leak test was carried out during the inspection process as well with the following readings:

Cylinder #1 - 4%
Cylinder #2 - 2%
Cylinder #3 - 4%
Cylinder #4 - 10%
Cylinder #5 - 4%
Cylinder #6 - 4%
Note the car had not been driven before the CLT was carried out so readings could change after driving.

The car comes with original owners manual, tool kit, service booklets, touchup paint, Certificate of Authenticity, and spare tire.

This rare 1970 911S is an incredible opportunity to own a special piece of Porsche history. Schedule your visit to Porsche Colorado Springs today! 719-219-1911
