Classic Car Overview

Celebrating our 65 year anniversary! This family owned and operated business was established in 1960, making us the oldest classic car dealership in America. Special thank you to all our customers for entrusting us to park the car of your dreams in your driveway while preserving automotive history for future generations to embrace and enjoy. -Grams family & Volo Museum staff INTRODUCTION: 1 of only 658 Road Runner convertibles made total in 1970, the 2nd and final year. This gorgeous example has matching #s on the motor and trans. The colors and options match the fender tag. It looks like it has been rotisserie restored, the bottom is painted like the top. Its from a 36 car collection. EXTERIOR: Out of the handful that were made, this one is among the prettiest! The body panels are straight and line up very nicely. It is painted its original B5 bright blue metallic paint and it was laid on evenly, the clear coat was polished to a glossy finish. The 1970 is my favorite year partly because it has the reflective Road Runner dust trail going down each side and a stripe on the tail end. The hood has satin black stripes and two racing pins. The bumpers have been rechromed, the grille is cleaned up very nicely, and the door handles have been replaced. The windshield and the weatherstrips were replaced. The white convertible top is fresh, its the correct Mopar grain with a glass window. The top frame was painted and the weatherstrips were replaced. The 15 inch rally wheels are wearing Cooper Cobra tires with hardly any miles on them. INTERIOR: To see a matching blue interior is really cool and I like the white piping, but to see bucket seats with a console is even cooler! A lot of Road Runners were bench seats with automatic on the column. This one also has a rally dash with the factory tachometer and original AM radio. It is in good condition overall and the interior lights work. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The motor compartment is cleaned up just like it would have looked back in 1970. A glossy blue engine bay has the a 383 Magnum engine making 335 horsepower at the heart of it. The manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner are stock, it is upgraded with a billet distributor and electronic ignition. The alternator, pulleys, power steering, and radiator are clean and proper. Of course it has the beep beep Road Runner horn, thats a necessity! The washers are hooked up, components on the firewall look new including the three-speed wipers. The fender tag is attached and pictured on our website. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted gloss blue, inside is solid metal also painted blue. It has reproduction weatherstrip, well liner and trunk mat. The spare has a tire thats never been used and the jack assembly is included. UNDERSIDE: It looks like it was a rotisserie restoration. The components were removed from under the car. The floors, frame rails and even behind the rear tires are clean metal painted the same blue metallic. The steering and suspension has been gone through. The brakes have been gone through, the e-brake is hooked up and lines replaced. It has a new factory style dual exhaust system with crossover pipe and correct chrome tips. They replaced the fuel system including the tank. Looking up at the motor it is clean, the correct starter looks fresh. The #s down by the oil pan match the cars VIN. The 727 Torqueflite automatic trans also has VIN numbers matching the car. In back the 8 3/4 rear end has 3.23 gears. SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell. CONCLUSION: You could be one of the few people on the planet that owns a 1970 Road Runner convertible! For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide is my professional opinion based on my experience with these vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase the car and share our teams insights. Our cars are displayed within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be refunded, and youll receive a one-year museum membership. 815 385 3644 9-5 central Sales@volocars.com Answered ASAP Power steering 3.23 rear gears Bucket seats Console Factory tachometer Hood stripes Hood pins Side stripes Remote mirror Power top Rally wheels
