1 of 6 - Yes, this 1970 Road Runner is just one of 6 Road Runner convertibles made for the Canadian market.

The data tag shows the Y07 code. Only 824 1970 Road Runner Convertibles were produced in total. That makes this Lemon Twist Yellow a fairly rare bird.

Unfortunately, the first owner of the car tucked her into a chicken barn sometime after having her painted in Orange Crush. There she sat for years, her fate to be covered in almost half a ton of bird and bat guano.

The car was sold to a fellow in NY not long after the car was featured in the Canadian version of "Cars in Barns" - Maple Leaf Mopars.

He started the arduous task of collecting the parts that would be needed to bring the cartoon character back to life. He pulled the seats and had them reupholstered, he ordered floor pans, quarter panels, frame rails, door skins, fenders, new dash pieces, new air cleaner and decals, steering wheel, brakes, mufflers, etc.

Unfortunately he became ill and in 2006 sold the car to the current owner, along with ALL the parts.

Very soon after obtaining this numbers matching Road Runner, the current owner hit some hard times and the car was moved to his parents barn, and then, out behind the barn. Her condition has not gotten any better, however, all the brand new parts are still wrapped in their plastic and in some case, original Mopar NOS paper.

The windshield is cracked but the side glass is in good condition. The top will keep most of the elements off you but it's thin in spots and won't keep you dry if you're sitting still.

Specifics of this car: Started life in Lemon Twist Yellow (code FY1), the NOG code signifies the 383 4 bbl, 335 HP engine and as mentioned, is numbers matching. P6XA denotes the Premium, Bucket seat interior in black. D32 shows she has the HD A-727 auto trans - Other options are a Canadian market block heater, 3 speed wipers, console, left side mirror, Air Grabber hood and intake, power brakes (discs in F, Drums in R), power steering, power top, hood pins, hood mounted signals, all the stripes (hood, road runner longitude dust stripe and the trunk stripe) AM/8 Track radio.

After over 15 years of ownership and little to no progress aside from a few more parts being purchased, he has decided it's time to let her go to someone with the time and skills to get her done.

She is VERY rusty, but she does turn over (and just before I started videotaping she did start and idle for a minute or so). The odometer shows 01829, so chances are that is a rolled over number of 101,829 miles.
