Beautiful 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Hardtop
New to our Benicia showroom is this beautiful 1970 Plymouth Barracuda 2 Door Hardtop with Moulin Rouge (MOPAR high impact purple) and Black exterior paint along with AAR strobe graphics and a matching black interior. You’ll find a freshly built 340 cid V-8 engine featuring J heads a 4 barrel carb and 340 HP exhaust manifolds under the hood with a 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission, along with new shocks, factory radio, a fully refreshed interior, aftermarket wheels and so much more. This classic muscle car is drop dead gorgeous in person and it performs like a dream- it’s going to make one lucky collector’s year at the current asking price.
Driven Only 350 Miles Since Mechanical Overhaul
The current owner of this 1970 Plymouth Barracuda has enjoyed it since 2012 as the third total owner and he informs us that this muscle car was originally sold in Oregon. Although this classic was in very nice driver-quality shape when he acquired it, last year he decided to add a new carpet kit, a new seat kit, a new headliner, the show-quality paint/striping and the drivetrain overhaul. We have over $13k in receipts on file from work completed in the past 12 months alone, and we can tell you that this muscle car is absolutely beautiful visually. It need very little to become a show-stopping beast.
Additionally, this 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Hardtop produces excellent power to the wheels and it drives exactly like you’d expect any prestigious example to perform. Between the unbelievable paint/trim work, the immaculate engine compartment and the overall ride quality, there’s simply no way possible that the next owner leaves this one parked in the garage. It begs to be driven and turns heads wherever it goes.
Outstanding Overall Condition & Performance
Overall, this 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Hardtop is a true investment grade example that is priced conservatively to encourage a quick sale. Given how desirable these models are and the work that’s gone into it, don’t be surprised if it’s back in another private collection within a matter of days. Legal Disclosures: Specialty Sales Classics has advertised and sold thousands of classic cars since our founding in 1978. We strongly encourage any and all buyers who are unable to view the vehicle in-person to perform a Pre-Purchase Inspection (by an independent party of their choosing) prior to the purchase. Given the age of many of our vehicles, it is extremely difficult to adequately describe all aspects of each vehicles condition in the limited space available and we have learned that these Pre-Purchase Inspections are helpful to all parties involved.
