1970 Oldsmobile 442

by a strong 455ci V8 motor, the 442 has plenty of power to make any drive an enjoyable

experience. In order to keep up with its competitors and General Motors lifting a displacement

cap on their smaller vehicles, Oldsmobile made the 455ci V8 the standard engine on the 442

with base horsepower being rated at 365. Power is routed to the rear wheels through an

automatic transmission that shifts well. The 442 was awarded pace car duties at the 1970

Indianapolis 500.

Offered here is an Azure Blue 442 which according to the body plate is the original color this

vehicle was optioned with. Exterior highlights include 14-inch black wheels wrapped in

BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, chrome exterior trim, and a blue vinyl roof. Complementing the

exterior is a blue vinyl interior which is accented by faux wood trim throughout. Other interior

features include aftermarket gauges mounted under the dash, A/C, power steering, and seat

belts for all four seats.
