VW Kombi Van Seeing Resurgence in Popularity

The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.

Classic Car Overview

We are proud to present another gorgeous Jaguar E-type for sale. This stunning 1970 Jaguar E-type Series 2 Fixed Head Coupe was built on December 30 of 1969 and the date of dispatch was February 10 of 1970. It is finished in its original color combination of Silver with Black interior and is an all matching numbers car (chassis, engine, transmission and body) as per the Jaguar Heritage Certificate. This car comes with original bill of sale and was sold new to Raymond C. Herrel of Columbia Ohio for the total price of $6,770.00. This car had 4 owners since new and 3 of the owners drove the car. The car underwent a 5 year restoration that the owner had completed in 2017. The engine was rebuilt during the restoration. Furthermore, the transmission was completely gone through. The rear end and all the suspension were rebuilt. This Jaguar was completely stripped and the entire car was rebuilt from the ground up on a very good original car. There has been only 2,654 miles placed on this Jaguar since this comprehensive restoration and about 600 of those miles were driven by us.

A recent service to the car included rebuilding the carburetors, a new Bluetooth radio installed, new smaller diameter original style wooden steering wheel, four wheel alignment, oil change, water pump replacement, seats and center console recovered, new style alternator, new battery and valve adjustment. Over $14,000 was invested in this car in upgrades and improvements in 2022 and 2023. A compression test was completed and the results were excellent of 140 to 150 psi on each cylinder.

This Jaguar is one of the finest driving E-types we have ever owned and we have owned a lot of them. Well over 250 Jaguar E-types bought, sold and still counting. It has plenty of power and handles like a dream. The transmission is silky smooth and the clutch feels great. In addition, the car stops straight and true. Thanks to additional cooling, the engine temperature stays cool even on 95 degree plus days. Also, yes a Classic Auto Air Conditioning System can be installed at an additional cost. This car is all pure Jaguar E-type and is an exceptional driver with phenomenal torque and power. The engine was built by a race car engine builder. Unlike other Jaguar E-types offered that are presented in photo studios or with professional photography to look good, this car not only looks gorgeous, but drives as well as all Jaguar E-types aspire to. This Jaguar E-type can be driven across the country or on road trips with ease, but where this e-type and other e-types shine are on back, country or open roads. The Jaguar here presents the best of both worlds as it can be shown as it is or driven just about anywhere.
