Classic Car Overview
This International Harvester Scout was built under prior ownership using the body from a 1970 Scout 800A along with the chassis and powertrain reportedly sourced from a later-model Scout II. The truck is finished in Army Rock Metallic and fitted with a matching hardtop along with wheel arch flares, side steps, a Rugged Ridge front bumper, and a Warn winch. Power is supplied by a 345ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range Dana 20 transfer case, and Dana 44 front and rear axles.
The aftermarket front bucket seats and rear bench were reupholstered in black vinyl with brown centers during the build, and the color scheme extends to the dashboard and door panels. Replacement black carpets line the floors, and additional appointments include a roll bar, a Nite Ize phone mount, a fire extinguisher, and a push-button AM radio in the stock location. An aftermarket Sony head unit located in the Tuffy locking center console is wired to dual Rockford Fosgate speakers in the rear and an MTX Audio subwoofer below the passenger seat. There is a tear in the upholstery on the passenger seatback.
Additional equipment includes black 15 steel wheels, Warn manually locking front hubs, and a 3 lift kit with Pro Comp shocks.
The passenger-side door lock is missing, and peeling paint and other blemishes around the body are pictured in the gallery below.
The three-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket cover and fronts diamond-plate dashboard panels housing Isspro instrumentation consisting of an 80-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The fuel level gauge is inaccurate. The five-digit odometer shows 2k miles, and approximately 15k miles were driven under previous ownership, and < 1k miles were driven under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
