Classic Car Overview

This 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1, is a rare documented one-of-one car, boasts a Factory R code, a 428 Cobra Jet engine, a Shaker hood with Ram-air, and a 4-speed manual transmission. Its original Calypso Coral exterior is complemented by a Vermilion interior, complete with a factory tachometer and 3.50 Trac Lok rear differential. The car also features rear window louvers and tinted glass. This meticulously restored car, designed for the ultimate driving experience, has undergone a comprehensive restoration. The entire car has been restored with all new parts, including a freshly rebuilt Cobra Jet engine and transmission. Key features include a standard bore, 428 Cobra Jet engine bored .20 over, producing approximately 450 horsepower. The engine had zero miles on it and was recently broken in. It features a Quick Fuel 750 double pump carburetor and a Pertronix electronic ignition system. The Ford Top Loader Transmission was custom-built with a wide ratio and custom short-throw threaded shift rods, along with a correct Hurst shifter and T-handle. New performance flywheel and clutch assembly, an easy clutch pedal, and a correct CJ New custom concourse drive shaft made in the USA (equipped with modern grease-able u-joints) complete the rear end. For more information, refer to the Marti Report. Here s some additional information about the engine. I found a rare standard bore 1967 428 CJ block that had been freshly bored .20 over. The oil galleries were modified, and the block was deburred. Probe forged flat-top pistons with a compression ratio of 10 to 1 were installed, along with the total seal rings. The factory CJ rods were magna-fluxed, resized, and ARP bolts were used. The stock crank was machined, and the entire rotating assembly was professionally balanced from the harmonic balancer to the flywheel. The heads are 1969 CJ heads that have undergone a standard rebuild, including valves, seats, guides, and surfacing. The engine retains the stock valve train, but it has been upgraded with Isky double coil valve springs to accommodate the Erson hydraulic flat tappet camshaft. The camshaft has a duration of 296 degrees and a lift of 551 degrees, with a compression range of 3000 to 6000 rpm. The engine was professionally assembled by Mark DeGroff s machine shop. The factory intake manifold has been matched to the head ports (FE intake manifolds and heads must be correctly matched for the valve covers to align). Terry 952-451-2104 $129,500
