This 1970 Mustang Convertible has been meticulously rebuilt and restored, blending vintage style with modern performance upgrades. It features countless enhancements, from the engine and transmission to the interior and exterior, ensuring both reliability and performance. Below is a detailed breakdown of the work done to make this car one-of-a-kind: Body & Exterior: Convertible top with glass back window (not plastic). All body panels stripped to bare metal; 2 new full quarter panels installed. Two-stage paint (base coat and clear coat) for a glossy, durable finish. New black rear wing and new front chin spoiler. Polished stainless trim, new side markers, front and rear lamps, and park lamps. New front grill with new emblem. New front windshield and new quarter glass. New headlamps and headlamp moldings. New billet antenna and boss 302 reflective stripe kit. New shaker hood, shaker bezel, and aluminum shaker scoop (not fiberglass). Modified steel air cleaner to fit 302 scoop. New door handles and lock cylinder kit with gaskets. New sport mirrors, door skins, and added sound deadener inside doors. New door outer beltline felts and all weatherstrips replaced. Blacked-out rear body panels, new front and rear valances, and new chrome bumpers. New license plate lamp and back-up lamps assembly. New black canvas convertible top, including new weatherstrips and hoses, plus 2 rams and pump. Polished wiper arms with new wiper refills and nozzles. Gravel-guarded lower area with new front upper stone guard and lower stone deflector. New spare tire, painted wheel, lug wrench, and lock lug nuts. New one-piece strut tower brace and billet aluminum battery hold-down. New gas cap, billet battery tray, and new trunk floor mat. Interior: Upgraded TMI front and rear sport seat upholstery with new front seat foam. New seat belts, new center console, and new Bluetooth radio with CD player. New Dakota digital gauges with blue lights and new dash. New map lamp, carpet, and sound deadener installed beneath. New door trim panels and new door/window crank handles. New rear compartment liner and molding. New 2-way rear speakers and front 3-way dash speaker. Rebuilt heater box and fan, new glove box, and new painless wiring for 1970 Mustang. Sanded and painted seat frames before installing upholstery. New ignition switch, cylinder, key, wiper switch, headlamp switch, and rear view mirror. All new inner felts and weather-strips, plus new quarter window crank handles. New convertible top frame sanded and painted, along with new sill plates. New convertible top body liner with chrome trims, and new top tack strips. Mechanical: Newly rebuilt C-4 transmission with shift kit, red clutches, Kevlar bands, and chrome larger pan. New driveshaft U-joints, new 2nd gear servo, and rebuilt rear end with new bearings and seals. New brake drums, pads, rear shocks, and new stainless brake lines. New power steering ram and hoses, painted front springs, and new brake hoses and bushings. New flywheel, starter, torque converter, and aluminum radiator with 2 electric fans and wiring. New A/C condenser, dryer, hoses, and chrome upgraded compressor (converted to R134 freon). New water pump, alternator, and all new belts. New Scott Drake valve covers and custom aluminum oil pan. 1985 roller 302 motor converted to a 347 stroker kit with Eagle kit (new pistons, rods, crank, bearings, and more). Summit 750 cfm carburetor, new spark plug wires, coil, and billet aluminum battery tray. New master cylinder, brake booster, and all associated lines. Stainless headers, new Flowmaster mufflers, and chrome tips with custom exhaust. New water pump, power steering pump, and new battery and cables. Additional Features & Custom Touches: Vintage Air under-dash system installed for AC (cooling system works great, with all new components). Clock does not work unable to find a replacement. Speedometer set to 0 after new gauge installation, with a mileage of 89,697 (uncertain due to the car sitting for years and parts in boxes). Only 58 miles since rebuild, with the car being recently driven to the alignment shop. New convertible top rear boot/cover when the top is down.
