1970 Ford Maverick 39K Original Miles One Owner Documented Tennessee Car
Offered here is an exceptionally well-preserved 1970 Ford Maverick with just over 39,000 original miles and full documentation from new. This is a true one-owner Tennessee car from a devoted Ford-loving family known for collecting classic Mustangs and Shelby GT models.
This Maverick was ordered on May 21, 1970 from Madisonville Motors in Madisonville, Tennessee. It was built on June 18, 1970, and proudly delivered to its original owner on July 9, 1970. A Marti Report is on hand to verify its authenticity and factory specifications.
Finished in beautiful Medium Ivy Green Metallic with a black cloth and vinyl interior, this car presents extremely well. Earlier this year, it received a high-quality repaint that lays smooth as glass and shows beautifully. The chrome bumpers and trim are excellent, complementing the cars clean, straight body.
Power comes from the optional 250 cubic inch inline 6-cylinder (1-barrel) paired with a smooth-shifting C4 automatic transmission. The car runs and drives excellent and would not take much to elevate to true show-quality condition.
Mechanically, the car has been thoughtfully upgraded by the original owners son in preparation for a potential V8 conversion (which was ultimately never completed). Updates include:
8 Ford rear end with fresh bearings and seals (open differential)
New V8 leaf springs
5-lug axles
Front suspension converted to V8 components
Front disc brakes with 5-lug setup
The car was originally intended to receive a 347 stroker V8, but the project was never pursued - leaving the next owner with an excellent foundation should they choose to go that route.
