Classic Car Overview

This classic Fiat 500L is the smallest mass-produced vehicle in the world. It is smaller than the classic Mini Cooper. The last photo shows the size comparison to a modern Fiat 500. Designed in post-WWII Italy, this automobile was to fill a demand for the Italian population to be mobile. Automobiles were expensive for the average Italian so they were generally relegated to motorized scooters. The diminutive size was done to reduce the price due to the expensive cost of steel and scarce energy resources at the time. It was also designed to carry an Italian family of five people using a similar layout to the Volkswagen Beetle. The result was this car which became the most popular car in Italy and many are still running on today's roads of Italy.

This particular FIAT 500L was imported from Palermo, Sicily, Italy in 2014. It has been restored to the original factory condition with no customization except for the increased engine horsepower from 17 hp to 23 hp. The 4-speed manual transmission is non-synchronized, so shifting up and down the gears must be double-declutched.

The upgraded L version of this car = Lusso (Luxury) was to distinguish it from the base version 500. The L features include front and rear bumperettes, a rectangle instrument panel with a gas gauge, a plastic dash, and upholstered seats with ribbing.

This car show-ready rare Italian car attracts crowds over the Ferraris and Lamborghinis. It comes with the Chianti and fruit basket! This can be yours for $26,700!
