Classic Car Overview

To Be OFFERED AT AUCTION at RM Sothebys Sealed February event, 2 - 18 FEBRUARY 2026.
$600,000 - $800,000 USD

  • One of just 12 365 GTB/4 Daytonas originally finished in Verde Pino (106-G-30)
  • Built to European specifications and delivered new to Bologna
  • Originally fitted with desirable Plexiglas headlight covers and air conditioning

Originally delivered to Ferraris native Italy and built to European specifications, chassis number 13437 is one of just twelve 365 GTB/4 Daytonas that were originally finished in the highly attractive and very period-correct Verde Pino (106-G-30) paintwork. Trimmed in Beige Connolly (VM 102) leather and fitted with air conditioning, it was delivered to its first owner Giuseppe Pennacchi in Rome in May 1970.

The Daytona was subsequently exported to the United States where it was repainted black and its interior was retrimmed in black leather. At some point, it was converted from its as-born Plexiglas headlight nose configuration to the later, pop-up headlight configuration. Noted as being owned by James L. Fleming of Laguna Beach, California, the car remained in California through the early 1980s. During this time, it was repainted red and retrimmed with a red leather interior. After this work was completed, the car was shown at the International Ferrari Concours dElegance held at the Rancho Canada Golf Club in Carmel Valley, California, in August 1984 where it placed 1st in class.

While not much is known about the Daytonas further ownership history, it was acquired by the current owner last year, having been acquired from an enthusiast who owned the car since 2002. Presently finished in Rosso with a black leather interior, the car has recently been serviced by the consignors own in-house mechanics and received a fuel system refresh, new spark plugs, and an oil change. All parts for this work were purchased from an official Ferrari dealership.

With the market showing increasing demand for cars finished in rare color schemes, this Daytona, originally finished in Verde Pino, would be a fantastic candidate for a restoration to its original configuration. As one of twelve cars originally finished in that lovely color, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
