Classic Car Overview

1970 DODGE CHARGER 500
POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, VINTAGE A/C

This Charger will certainly catch people's attention. Chargers are rarely even seen. This one looks great in Silver Blue and a black vinyl top that is in great shape with no rust issues under it. It really has the look. Overall good condition. The body presents itself very well. The big long panels are straight and they fit nicely. The turn signals in the hood and function like they should. The paint job is smooth and glossy. When people walk around the car they will be impressed. The vinyl top is in very good condition. The front bumper and rear bumper have been rechromed. The pop up gas cap and door handles are in good condition. The remote mirror was replaced. It still retains its original glass, which is nice. The grills and tail lights are good. The headlights flip open properly. It rides on aftermarket 15 aluminum Magnum 500 wheels with Copper Cobra GT radial tires 245/60/15 in the front and 255/60/15 in the rear.

The Black interior is in great shape from the carpet to the headliner. The center console is in great shape as well. The dash area is good and original, not cracked, cut or drilled. All the gauges work. The carpet was replaced and has embroidered floor mats. The seats have good cushions and have been reupholstered. The headliner was replaced and it fits tight. The door panels appear to be original and still in great shape. It features a Stewart Warner aftermarket oil gauge that is mounted below the dash. All the interior lights work.

The engine compartment features a 383 big block for a bit more kick. Some performance upgrades include: an aluminum intake manifold, new Edelbrock 750 carb, headers, Mopar Performance finned valve covers, power steering and brakes. The Vintage A/C blows cold. The engine bay is straight and has solid metal. The original fender tag is still attached and the core support matches the car.

The trunk compartment is nice and tidy. Under the trunk lid is painted real nice. The trunk floor appears to be original clean metal and has a trunk mat.

The undercarriage is very clean. It has rebuilt brakes, disc in front and new wheel cylinders in back. It also has a new center link, newer front and rear shocks. There is a dual exhaust with FlowMaster mufflers and correct exhaust tips. The bottom of the motor is clean as well as the 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission. It features an 8 ¾ rear with 3:55 gears and new pinion seals. The floors and frame rails appear to be solid and original.
