Classic Car Overview
Totally restored 70 Dodge Charger 440 RT. This Charger has been restored mostly to its original specs with many modern improvements so it cannot be classified as an original rebuild even though most of the focus was to keep it looking as original as possible. The original Tranny was removed and replaced with a 5 speed Tremec with a pistol grip shifter. The radiator was replaced with a new aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The 4 bbl carburetor was replaced with a new modern MSD EFI system with electric fuel pump. All new Vintage Air AC and heat was installed including a new evaporator with new controls that actually work! The brakes are Disc brakes in front with drum brakes in the rear. There is no rust on this car. Any rust that was found was replaced with new metal. The body is in perfect shape and straight as a laser. The paint is in excellent condition and shines like a new penny. New P255/60R15 tires on the front with P295/50R15 on the rear with Rally wheels all around. Tire size was kept to the original diameter to show off the look of those beefy tires back in the day. The interior is in terrific shape with original seats and upholstery There are a few signs of wear on the front seats but not much at all considering this car is 50 years old! Rear seat is in great shape with no visible flaws The dash has new Auto Meter gauges which were chosen to resemble the original layout and appearance . It does have new black carpet and the original stereo 8 track radio. I purchased a new modern stereo that looks like the original but has bluetooth and the modern jacks. I have a folder about 2 inches thick of rebuild receipts that will go with the car.
