Classic Car Overview

Built as a very mild custom, this factory 1970 Challenger RT/SE was only one of 2,076 383/automatic cars that came equipped with the RT/SE options.

Prior to the restoration, the Challenger had been in storage since 1992 and the odometer shows just over 90,000 miles. The body was completely media blasted and turned out to be in very good shape given its age. All of the sheet metal is original to the car with the exception of the truck panel, and one lower quarter panel. All of the stainless trim and bumpers are also original to the car. The glass which in excellent condition is also original with the exception of a replacement windshield. All of the stainless and chrome was then restored and has excellent fitment and finish. All of the rubber is new throughout the car and fitment of the doors, hood and trunk are excellent being that the car is not full of aftermarket sheet metal. The paint is a two-stage job over very straight panels. The car was originally light green metallic but was restored using “Green Go,” a 1970 midyear hue. The undercarriage is highly detailed complete with the factory style overspray marks, and the engine compartment is absolutely mint. Similar to the factory, the engine, tranny and k member were assembled as one unit and painted.

The interior is immaculate and is new from front to rear. The dash was recovered by Just Dashes and the rest of the soft parts are from Legendary. Per SE spec, the centers of the seats are leather. Everything works including the clock and overhead console lights for low fuel and seat belt warnings. The dash has been completely restored by Redline Gauges and even the seat belts have been restored by Snake Oil. The woodgrain, rim blow wheel was restored to OEM spec by woodgrainwheels.com. It’s extra nice and cost a pretty penny.
