Details
This C3 Corvette is a numbers-matching car equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission and a strong 350/350HP engine, 18,415 miles on the dash (title is exempt for mileage). It comes well optioned with power brakes, power steering, power windows, factory air conditioning, and a tilt and telescopic steering column. Additional features include rally wheels, Hooker Header side pipes, an AM/FM cassette radio, and much more.
The previous owners made a number of performance and handling upgrades to this Corvette. The front and rear suspension have been upgraded with Vette Brakes suspension components, including Vette Brakes upper and lower control arms. It also features rack-and-pinion power steering, MSD ignition, Hooker Header side pipes, a Holley aluminum intake, and a Holley carburetor. The original engine has been rebuilt, and the car was refinished in a base coat/clear coat paint job.
Recent service includes changing the oil and filter, replacing the rear end grease and additive, and inspecting and lubricating the chassis. We also replaced the brake calipers, brake hoses, brake pads, master cylinder, and brake booster. In addition, the interior has been refreshed with a new complete carpet set and new door panels, along with other improvements. This Corvette runs and drives strong.
1970 was the shortest production year for the C3 generation corvette, which makes corvettes of this year extremely collectible. It was also the last year of the high horsepower engines and the first year for the fender flares. GM only released 4,910 with the 350/350Hp engine and 6,648 convertibles out of 17,316 total production in 1970.
