Classic Car Overview
FRAME UP RESTORED, 375 HP, 4-SPD!
This is one of the most sought after muscle cars! This 1970 Chevelle is wearing its original color code 75, Cranberry Red with black stripes running down the Cowl Induction hood and trunk! The body is clean and straight. All lines and gaps fit nicely. It appears to have all factory sheet metal. Doors close like they were new. The paint has a nice smooth and glossy finish. The front grill, emblem, headlight bezels and front bumper look great. The stainless trim is polished and straight. The rear bumper, SS pad and tail light lenses are very nice. The glass is in good condition. The door jambs are painted and all weather stripping is like new. It sits on a set of 15x7 factory style SS wheels with a newer set of BFG T/A radial tires.
The black interior really pops up against the red exterior and it is in excellent shape! It sports factory bucket seats and a console with a Hurst shifter sticking out of it. It features an optional tach and gauge package and factory SS steering wheel. The heater controls all operate smoothly. It has a retro AM/FM radio. The dash pad is in good shape. The carpet, sill plates and door panels are all in nice shape as well. It also features GM front and rear seat belts.
The engine compartment is clean and complete! It has a period-correct 396 ci/ 375 hp engine that has been completely rebuilt and runs strong! It also has factory chrome valve covers, cowl induction air cleaner, 4 core radiator, correct fan shroud and fan.
The trunk is super clean. It appears to be all original metal. The trunk pan has been resprayed in its original color of spatter paint. It also has a spare tire and jack assembly.
The undercarriage is as clean as the top side! The bottom of the engine is clean and the 4 speed manual transmission is clean as well. The original floors have been painted in a satin black. There is a F-41 suspension which includes sway bars, boxed in control arms and front disc brakes. It has a dual exhaust system with factory resonators and correct style cowbell tips running out the back, new fuel tank with new straps and sending unit, 12-bolt posi rear end with 3:73 gears. The E-brake assembly looks good and working.
The 1970 Chevelle SS is the most popular and most sought after car of its era! It would be a nice investment piece for someone.
