This absolutely stunning 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is powered by a non-numbers matching 1970 454 V8 engine paired with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. The owner states that the engine was rebuilt roughly 10,000 ago when it was dropped into the body which still wears its original Forest Green exterior paint. At the time, the engine was rebuilt with forged pistons, eagle Rods, Total Rollerz, and bored 30 over. Other highlights include: 5-spoke Crager wheels wrapped in a new set of BFGoodrich tires, Holly 850 Duel pumper carb, Chrome Edelbrock highrise intake manifold, Hooker headers, full 3-inch exhaust with electric cutouts, MSD Ignition, front disc brakes, and a 3.55 rear gear.



The Chevelle was a mid-size model that was produced over a few generations starting in 1964. The second generation is arguably the most popular and featured a distinctly sculpted coke bottle body with tapered fenders and a rear quarter kick-up. A variety of engines were on offer but the most potent and powerful being the 454cid V8 in the SS. The 1970 model year brought a host of changes such as a squared-up front fascia and revised options. The quad headlights are probably the most well-regarded Chevelle feature and typically hold the highest value.
