Classic Car Overview
This Chevelle has some very desirable features on its clean original body. Looking down both sides, it is very straight. It wears its factory color Cranberry Red, code 75 accented with tuxedo black SS stripes and factory hood pins. The front and rear bumpers have been rechromed. The emblems, headlight bezels, windshield and rear window moldings are like new. It rides on a set of 15 factory style SS wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich T/A radials 275/60/15 in the rear and 215/70/15 in the front.
It is powered by a period-correct 454 ci motor, casting number 3999289. It has a few performance upgrades: Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor, MSD HEI ignition, factory chrome valve covers, chrome air cleaner with chrome lid, power steering, newer 4-core radiator with factory fan shroud. It still retains its factory exhaust manifolds. The engine bay has a satin black finish.
The interior is pretty much new from the carpet to the headliner, including new seat upholstery and cushions. It features factory code 756, black bucket seats, and a factory console with horse shoe shifter, factory AM radio which still works, factory SS steering wheel, optional front and rear seat belts, factory tach and gauges.
The undercarriage is all clean metal and original. The bottom of the motor is clean as well as the transmission. It has power front disc brakes. It has an original style dual exhaust system with Turbo mufflers and stock tailpipes running out the back with correct cowbell tips. It has a 12 bolt rear end with 3:31gears and F41 suspension. The E-brake assembly is all hooked up and working.
The trunk is all clean original metal. It has a light coat of trunk splatter paint, spare tire, trunk mat and new weather stripping.
This Chevelle SS performs out of this world! It is tight, right and looks fantastic in Cranberry Red!!
