The Chevrolet Chevelle is one of the most iconic muscle cars around.
Chevrolet introduced the Chevelle in 1963 as a 1964 model. Though quite large by today's standards, it was classified as a midsize car. What wasn't midsize was the level of passion garnered from the very beginning, a passion that has continued for decades.

Drive and collect this LS6 L34 1970 collectable. This is a low owner, low mileage, true SS 396 numbers matching 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS WITH A true LS6 Driver engine installed. 2 Engines included. Numbers matching stored in the LS6 Crate. Please read on for an explanation.
I bought this in Oklahoma about 2 years ago. I am selling it as I have too many toys and don't drive it.
I have the protecto plate for it to document the lineage along with the original owners manual.
It has just over 100k miles on it at 102k.
For me, I worried about the original engine and my investment as I wanted to drive and enjoy this the way it was intended. I have never taken anything to a car show unless it got me better parking. It isn't my thing. I have toys to drive and enjoy.
As I wanted to drive this, I started searching for a stock drop in engine that I could use and not worry about. I lucked out and found a true new in crate LS6 GM performance Crate motor. The story goes that a fellow bought 6 or so of these from a dealership and socked them away. He sold 2 to a buddy. I bought one from him. It has the snowflake intake, solid lifter, hardened valve seats and better compression and heads than the 70 version. More details are listed in the brochure in my photos.
I feel this car is the best of both worlds, a legendary LS6 driver!
I had a local guru build me a second Turbo 400 as well as the trans for the car is also numbers matching.
The install is clean and stock like and can come out every bit as easy.
The car has factory AC which blows cold and an original radiator I had recored.
It had the original exhaust on it when I got it but it was really done so I installed a Pypes system and ceramacote premium headers with band clamps that is easy to remove. The original exhaust manifolds are with the 396 tucked away in the crate that the LS6 came out of.
I have a top of the line Quick Fuel carb installed that allows the use of the Cowl induction air cleaner. Of course, the original carb is with the original engine.
There is nothing about this second driveline that can't be undone to go back to stock.
This is an original bucket seat car and one of the neatest features to set this sweetheart apart is the Saddle interior instead of the common black. It is in very nice shape. Factory OEM clock even works!
12 bolt OEM posi w 3.31 gears for cruiseability.
Repop wheels on new tires. Original wheels included.
All this was done within the last 2000 miles.
The floors in this car are all original and dusty underneath without someone hiding things with undercoating.
It had one repaint I'd guess 20 years ago and it looks respectable but not so nice you can't drive it without worrying. It has a clearcoat on it than can be further rubbed. A nice thing about old paint is that bodywork can come back out and this car has nothing bubbling etc.
I see no signs of heavy bodywork and this car I would call unrestored...which is what I wanted. I know that the best cars are original and healed as required instead of being outfitted with all kinds of Chinese reproductions.
My price is firm as it sits or will take $50k without the LS6 and trans. No trades except Jeep CJ or a clean TJ Wrangler.
