1970 Chevrolet C/K Truck

From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.
The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.
Classic Car Overview
This is a beautifully maintained original stock 1970 Chevrolet C20 pickup with long bed (3/4 ton, but basically same as 1/2 ton C10 model) in amazing condition. It has received a lot of love to maintain and replace parts to get it to this state. 104,000 miles on original engine and drivetrain etc. Really nice forest green original paint with minor patina and imperfections expected with age. No body damage or rust. 292 straight six motor with a four speed manual transmission, power steering and power drum brakes. Drives amazing.
Compression is good, just checked, and checked/reset the valves. New crank seal and rebuilt harmonic balancer. New distributor cap, rotor, vacuum advance, condenser and points, battery cables, spark plugs, plug wires, coil, professionally cleaned and rebuilt carburetor (looks new), new gas lines, fuel filter, and main tank/auxiliary tank valve, PCV valve, fuel pump, washer pump, main belt, floor mat, door handles, door seals, window tracks. Also got all dash lights, horn, blinkers, side lights etc working (included a new printed circuit and steering column harness). And new radiator hose and better/new and working shocks all around. Light tint on rear window to keep sun off your neck.
Two army ammo boxes mounted in the bed for storage. One has a drain line for ice cold drinks (although not insulated it works really well).
ONLY thing that doesn’t work is the original radio, which I left in and like the look of. I use a Bluetooth speaker for music from my phone while driving. Other than that the steering gear has a TINY leak that barely drops any fluid. Maybe top up once a year, and would probably go another several years of regular driving before needing replacement. A replacement steering gear is $250 and a little labor to install. I just haven’t bothered because it is a non-issue and doesn’t affect any aspect of the truck; a waste of time and money to deal with until it really needs it.
This truck is great to look at and drive. A classic. Prices for these trucks vary wildly based on condition, modification, look, etc. Some ok drivers go for $6-8k, decent ones $10-$15, nice ones $15-$20k, and fully restored show truck looking ones for $25-$50k. Think this truck at $13k is a steal.
