Classic Car Overview

1970 Buick Skylark The legendary Stage 2! The secret is out. The 70 Stage 1 is the quickest GM A-body. Take that mild Manner(ed) street car and add the Factory Stage 2 package. You have a BEAST capable of 10 sec quarter mile times. Guaranteed to dominate the competition. Which is what Coyote has done with multiple National records and other Stage 2 Buicks have had similar success winning records and putting some hurt on the racer in the other lane. Coyote is an example of one of a few cars known to exist. A documented Kennedy Bell Stage 2 test car. ALL 3 of those cars left the Flint assembly line as Stage 1 cars and were converted to Stage 2 specs later. Coyote is a documented special-order low option Stage 1 destined to be a quarter mile warrior from day one and not a street car.Current owner is the 4th owner of this beauty. Purchased it as a turn key drag car in 1999 with much of the history being unknown with 1,530 miles. At that time the car was known as the Turner car. Jimmy Turner was the (3rd) owner, driver, engine builder and fierce competitor who gained recognition with Ol Blu as he affectionately refers his old friend. The notoriety at the track came in the form of trophies, plaques, magazine features, and multiple National records that gained a lot of attention and respect for The Stage 2 and Buicks in general. Documented as a factory-built Stage 1 by the GS Historical Society. The car currently has a fresh 70 455 and TH400 with under 2000 miles on them.
